No access to the kitchen.
Well I thought I know what all not nice things I can expect from people while pregnant - pretending not to see struggling with heavy shopping, not opening the door, comments about being fat and size of belly... but my father in law managed to come up with something unbelievable. In laws live about 3h away and last weekend we decided it will be the last change to visit them before getting to close to my due date 2nd of Feb. Long story short FIL said we can't use his kitchen to make a dinner for pregnant me, diabetic partner and our 21 month old daughter because he doesn't want the smell in the house. We wanted to buy our ingredients and make spag bol with no herbs or garlic. It ended up with screaming at my partner that when we are under his roof we will do what he says and my partner should not drag me and the baby all that way. We packed and left within half and hour. I still can't believe all this. We won't be visiting them any more. I'm not sure to hold the grudge because in my option it's outrages to let pregnant woman go hungry or a little child or just to move on and never go back to this subject.
Your boyfriend must be so sad and embarrassed and hurt.
The best thing, your partner agreed with you that you all left after such a horrible situation and went home. Great ma. Also what did mother in law say? She didn't put her foot down? Also, I'm pretty sure pop in law was like that before. Or if not, why was this visit different from the other visits. Could you cook before?
Wow nasty, nasty man!!!! Just ignore the situation and make no contact if he makes contact up to you weather or not to reply but I can't belive he was perfectly fine with letting his pregnant daughter in la and grand daughter starve, relations or not who even thinks in that manner. Not nice at all, sorry for your bad experience some people just have no idea....
Wow your fil is ridiculous and a very mean man im so sorry about that but just keep in mind that god is great and keep praying hope things get easy for you and your fil shouldnt really be being this mean to a pregnant women especially goshhh some people have no heart
