OB rant ...wtf

So I was scheduled for an appointment at 8:30am on September 1st, and it is for like this "mommy class" thing called centering. I have just been hired at a new job, and I didn't want to start asking off too early after being hired. So when I called to reschedule, the lady was extremely rude and got a little catty, and proceeded to tell me the earliest next appointment they had was in November. I was infuriated by this, especially since she was rude about having to reschedule me. She finally got me an appointment for September 18, but I still feel like that is forever from now and by then I will be 20 weeks, and I am afraid they might not want to give me my anatomy scan in a timely manner. Am I right to be a little annoyed about it, or is it just these damn hormones again?

It's like a class where I go sit in a room with other women for like 2 hours and learn how to take care of the baby. I don't feel it is necessary, and making money to be able to support having the baby is more important at this time.

Since you only see your doctor every month it is understandable that they would reschedule to see you way later because they like to see women at certain times and the class is probably whey so often.

It's like a yoga class?  Are you really required to go?  On a weekday morning?
