When did you tell people??

I'm only 6 weeks and I know general rule is to wait until 12 weeks but myself and my husband are so excited and finding it difficult to keep it quiet

My boyfriend started telling his family when I was 8 weeks, and I told mine soon after. Then we casually told close friends. I'm 17 weeks now and there are still some people who don't know, but I'm not showing yet.

Me and my partner told our families at 5 weeks. its our first and we were so excited. im now 11 weeks and our bosses know and as some people have said, we have only told people we would tell if I had a miscarriage.  I think its down to how you feel and who u want to tell.

I found it hard not to tell my family and friends I actually announced it at 5 weeks! I don't have a history of miscarriage, and this is my second pregnancy, I am currently going on 36 weeks. I say when your ready tell who ever u want!

I am currently 13 weeks and just now started announcing it due to the fact I was at high risk for miscarriage. I am so excited to be able to announce it and feel a lot less stressed since people know now it is all about when you feel comfortable telling people. Congratulations enjoy your pregnancy :)

I told my father at 6wks...I'm now 26wks. I figured if anyone is upset then they should have plenty of time to get over it. I'm 29yrs old already have an 11 yr old, but i have health issues and my family was more worried about my health then my pregnancy.

It's up to you when you feel like telling people! I'm 22 weeks and I haven't announced it yet. I'm waiting for my gender reveal photoshoot. I didn't want to bombard people with "I'm pregnant" and then a few months later "it's a girl" so.. I'm doing one big thing!

We told our close friends (less than a handful of people) & our parents at 6 weeks & everyone else as we saw them after 14 weeks as we were high risk for miscarriage & wanted to wait a couple extra weeks but the general rule is about 12 weeks i think.

I told people the day I found out. I've never been a fan of waiting, and was pretty freaked out, and definitely in need of the entire support system lol

I believe its a personal preference I told a lot of close friends and family well before 6 weeks. Some relatives that were pregnant also made comments of how people generally wait but I was excited and didn't care what they thought

I thought about who I would feel comfortable with sharing a miscarriage and only told those people. But it's really up to you, I found it really hard to keep it to myself as well! Good luck!

My first I was going to wait as my husband was deployed and we wanted to let people know together, I only told my mom. I ended up having a miscarriage and felt very alone I couldn't really share it with anyone....this time we told everyone when we had the Dr conformed so we could share the news and be excited.  I was 5 weeks at the time and we have been trying for 6 years...I'm now 19 weeks and so far everything is great. Telling people is up to you I just feel that if something horrible happens you have more people there for you...good luck!

We told our parents and best friends at 6 weeks and about 8 weeks respectively. Due to having a miscarriage earlier this year at 7 weeks, we decided to wait till closer to 2nd trimester to tell anyone else. However, since I'm high risk I had to tell my boss as well.
