I think I was prescribed Vicodin(hydrocodone-acetamen,ophine 10-325). I breasted and made sure it was okay to take. Ask if tramadol is okay? It's a less addictive pain medication & not a c2 or narcotic. (I work in a pharmacy). Either way, good luck. I'll pray for you.
Thanks you ladies!! And mommyJen your right it deff.is a hard thing to beat that's for sure it feels good to know that I'm not alone and you all are great people to not judge!!! Thanks again ladies
First congratulations on getting sober and secondly you can always look up what ever they give you online just for your own peace of mind. Like the others said make sure that the hospital staff knows your history and ask them what each medication they are giving you every time. If they get irritated because bof being asked oh well its your body and you have every right to know what they are giving you each time because mistakes do happen. Keep up the good work.
Congratulations on being sober! There are plenty of non-narcotic medicines they can give you. Just make sure you are very clear with them about your history. While I have never had an addiction to then, narcotics/opiates make me violently sick to my stomach so during my various surgeries and hospital stays over the years, I request that I am never given them. They always come up with something else that seems to work well. Can't tell you the drug names, I'm afraid... don't remember them.
Hey girl good for you, I did the same with my first pregnancy and its a hard thing to beat! I told then I didn't want narcotics so they just gave me motrin after, they will be very helpful!
Congrats on being sober first off that's amazing! its deff. Been a struggle which I'm sure you know thank you for your input yea I go to my Dr. Today and I'm gonna ask to see what they say cuz I'm really not trying to get no narcotics that's gonna set me back that's the last thing I need AGAIN thank you!!
Hi pumpkin.. no judging here. First off good for you.. from one opiate recovering addict to another. I'm clean 3 1/2 years it will be 4 February 21st! Never thought in my fit of addiction that I would be able to say that. Wow how freeing it is now.
Your question.. I don't know what they will give you but if you are honest and make sure all who are taking care of you in the hospital know "your story" you will be taken care of. This is very important for you and baby due to your Tolerance of the pain meds. Good luck to you and best of wishes to you and baby.
