Happened to me but with the couch thank god my fiancee was right there and caught her mid fall it still scared her but she wasn't hurt I felt horrible
You can tell your a really good concerned mother & love your baby, :)
I have a 4 year old son and a baby girl that Is 2 months, I went through some what a lot of falls with my son cause he is VERY active till this day, he was crawling by 6 months and walking by 8 months, had a 2 story home, he LOVED the stairs, I couldn't turn my back on him for 20 seconds cause he would be right back to te stairs, he fell down like 5 stairs at about 10 months & I was hysterical just like you, but he was fine, he also fell off the bed also at around 6 months too, there's no way to describe it, my heart just drops and I feel like a horrible mother, but as yu go along you realize their children, it's gonna happen. And when they fall we need to be right there to pick them back up. :)
Happened to me too when my son was six months, omg I cried more than him when it happened, that was his first fall
So glad I am not the only one. I can't even describe how I felt when I saw him. I cry when he has to get shots!!! Its the worst feeling seeing your baby hurt. I'm just so thankful he is okay and I can now say no mother is perfect and mistakes will be made. I have definitely learned from this and know now I can no longer leave my little adventurer unattended.
My second son fell off the bed twice! I was so upset both times. Once my husband was right there and missed it somehow. Its scary!
They have to do it it's part of learning I every baby will have bad falls at some point in their life it's them learning special awareness x
I know it happens and I know it gets worse when they start to walk and learn to run and all that stuff I'm not ready for :/ but its so scary! I've never felt so awful! I called my mom and she told me stories about myself and my siblings and that made me feel a little better.
This happens to plenty of mothers don't feel bad especially since everything is okay with the baby I have 7 nephews and 1 niece and currently expecting what I find helpful is using your body pillow and surround the baby with it or regular pillows to prevent a baby or a prego from rolling
Don't beat urself up about it. I think it's happened to alot of us atleast once. Especially with our first child.
