Still Upset...

This is my third child.
My daughter is 4 (vaginal) and my son would have been 3 (emergency c section) this year if he hasn't passed away (sids). Long story short, today the doctor made the ugliest comment.

"Sooooo were tieing your tubes after you deliver."

I just looked at him like he was crazy and said "I'm Only 21 !!"

He then said well you can only have 3 csections then you MUST tie your tubes.

By this point I lost my temper and said "Well if you would let me at least try and push this baby out then maybe I could have more kids"

He keeps insisting there's no vbac option at all, like for anyone, ever ever ever. I'm going in next week for my scheduled csection.... Yay me!!!

I had a miscarriage, 2 c-sections, abdominoplasty and then went on the have a vaginal birth. I am pregnant again and have been told i can try for another vaginal. I also have a friend who has 4 children, all c-sections and they are going to try for a 5th. Some docs won't support vbac, so you have to find one that does if it's what you want to do.

Vbac depends on the way your c sec was performed, I hear. How they stitched your cut inside. They needed to face stitched you a certain way. By the way he is treating you, it sounds like he didn't do that(if he's the one who did your c section). I would definitely research more and talk to more doctors

I agree with the above 2,you need a new doctor; especially if he is willing to do a tubal ligation on you at the age of 21. It is common practice in female medicine to never tie a woman's tubes until she has at least 3 children or around the age of 24; and even then some doctors won't do a permanent procedure under their discretion. I wouldn't even give him the benefit of the doubt by mixing your charts up with someone else's; just find another doctor if possible who can help you do a vaginal birth.

If I were you I would tell him you dont want the c section. You dont have to do it. He can't make you make you. He sounds closed minded. I agree with the above poster you need a new doc!

My aunt has had c-section with all her kids, she has 5 kids... :/ I think hes scaring you. And u dnt have tohave a c-section if theres no risk with this pregnancy. Dont matter what your doctor says. Ive had a vbac with my second and im planning the same for this pregnancy hopefully. If I where you I would go to a different doctor.. what u could do is try to bring about labour at home so that hopefully u could have a natural labour before the sceduled c-section
