Telling the family.... help

Well ladies I am 11w + 4d I have my scan on Monday, my bf & I can't wait :-) my mum knows about my pregnancy & so does his side of the family as we live with them & the signs were hard to hide.  I now face the task of telling the rest of my family & I can't wait, but it upsets me that the news will be given over the phone & I wish I could tell them all face to face. Is it bad to give them such happy & exciting news over the phone? Any advice would be great. :-) xx

My husband and I did a selfie video announcement after we told our parents personally. Sent it via text to the closest ones to us, then uploaded it to Facebook. It was pretty awesome. Just an idea.

I had to tell all of my family over the phone. They don't all have Skype, my mom is 4hrs away and the rest are states away. Even just a voice is better then a notice in the mail. Don't post anything on your social media till all your family knows :-)

Thanks ladies, that helps. I don't feel as bad. I'd love to Skype them but not all have Skype or they just never use it. I just can't wait to tell them now :-) x

We Skype my husband's parents. Told my family over the phone. I texted my sister because she hates talking on the phone.
