Water breaking stories.

Ok I am 36 weeks in a few days and a ftm I just want to know how some of you other mother's water broke. I picture mines happening at church or work.

I was 35 weeks and sitting on the couch writing thank you notes. Thought I had peed myself a little so got up, went to the restroom and sat back down. It happened again and again, finally I realized what was happening. It trickled for a good 10-15 minutes before I got the big gush of water. Eek! Wasn't prepared at all, didn't even have the car seat out of the box or a hospital bag packed!

My water broke with my first at 38 weeks 5 days. I was sleeping and started to feel a very wet sensation. Got up ran to the bathroom and didn't make it. It just fell out of me and wouldn't stop ha ha. I was only 3cm dilated and 50% defaced. I had my baby 26 hours later, no medical interventions, no pain meds, no iv/hp lock. With my second I was 10cm dilated having a water birth and as I pushed with a contraction I felt a pop and a gush (like a water balloon). Both my waters broke naturally.

Mine always breaks just near the end of labour, after some hard pushing (first broke half an hour before baby was born, 2nd was 3 mins). It's always such an effort to break it, and I feel the snap, like it was a tough elastic or something - I have no fear of it breaking in public as mine seem to feel so strong!

Apparently only 10% of women have them break before labour starts :)

My water broke at home. Had just gotten back from docs visit was 5 days over due and was depressed I was only 1cm dialted and about 50% effaced. So I went to the store and bought some chocolate and a few other groceries. Got home put then aeay and then was going to lay down to take a nap and on my way to the bed my water broke on the floor. It was gushing I soaked through 4 towels before we got to the hospital.

I started contracting and went in, luckily I was 3cm dilated but the nurse had to break my water, nothing scary, for me at least I laughed when I felt everything come out lol

My first 2 (i was 40 weeks with both) they had to break my water at the hospital, is induced. My third my water broke right after getting to the hospital and them checking me. I always have a fear it's going to be somewhere public and gushing water going everywhere... Hasn't happened yet.

My first child I had an emergency csection so my water never broke.
My second broke while I was going to the bathroom.
My third was done at the hospital.
