affectionate animals

Anyone else's animals become a lot more affectionate since you became pregnant? Our male kitty has been stuck to me since baby girl started kicking....he's always laying right against  and literally hugs my stomach. Never lays on stomach luckily though

Our black lab has always been super close and cuddly but definitely since I got pregnant he has been even more by my side and more protective as well. Must be an instinct they have. The kitties have been more lovey too but still far more independent than pups. We always tell him there's a baby in my tummy and he seems to somehow get it and gets excited and gives my belly kisses. (:

My four cats are all over me! My first and second cat meow looking for me now stop. I get followed to the bathroom. They love to feel him kick. And my male cat meows at my stomach. 3 of my cats started giving me kisses when I got into my third trimester when they NEVER did it before. And no I do not mess with the litter! Hubby does it every day and even takes it outside to do it and it's kept in the garage :)

Haha ya my cat which is actually my bfs  cat won't let the dog or other cat near me, which is funny cuz the other cat is my baby and has now claimed my dad because of this cat being so over protective of me

My cat sits and purrs on my belly, maybe because it's warmer or maybe animals just sense the presence of a baby and want to protect it instinctually. Idk but my cat is obsessed with my son and they are very close. Something about it she is maternal and closer with me all the time when I'm pregnant.

My male kitty has been super snuggly since I've been prego. He's always next to me or on me and sleeps on me at night. I kinda wish he wouldn't sometimes cuz I need some space lol. But its cute how he's always so lovey :)

im just 8wks and we dont have animals yet but everytime someone brings his dog around it stands by my side for quite a while.
also we live in a housetruck at a mates place and his small dog checks up on me every day. and when my partner and i have an argument he comes and stands between us as if hes protecting me.
i think its really lovely how animals can feel these things :)
