So glad everything worked out. I took a CPR and choking class as part of.my parenting classes and then taught my mother since she will be babysitting a lot and you never know when something like that will happen. If you call the red cross I believe they offer them free and you and grandpa and grandma can go just to ease your mind a bit knowing that everyone knows exactly what to do if it happens again. And if they don't go then you can definitely teach them but it's always best to have that first hand experience. Idk how comfortable I'd be letting him watch the baby again either without him being properly trained on what to do. Good luck though, so happy baby is okay!! :-)
Scary. Your baby is so young, what did she choke on? how did this happen? I don't think I' let your Grandpa babysit anymore hon. Sorry to say. A safe environment where baby doesn't get anything in their mouth is essential and being able to help baby if necessary like your mom did is crucial. (even if it is calling 911 like you did . . . your grandpa didn't think to do that.) Serious stuff. good luck
Im also glad that your baby is fine. It happened to my baby before i was there but she choked really bad. She didnt respond for almost 2 to 3 munutes and lost her conciousness. Her lips turned gray and we all panicked i cried so hard and did everything to revive her good thing she did woke up when i hard pressed her stomach and bit her toe fingers. It was indeed the biggest scare of my life also.
Thanks ladies for comments and reading <3
Glad everything worked out and your baby is ok.
