breastfeeding Question ?

Hey guys I had my daughter March 10th and she is two weeks today and I breastfeed . I was wondering would it hurt her if I smoke ONE cigarette.  I've been struggling with quitting and I have been doing good for two months but just recently it has been some really stressful situations going on and I just want ONE cigarette . do you think my daughter will be fine ? I'll take negative and positive feedback I really need help .

I dont think it would hurt...what u can do is smoke it right after feedin and that way by the next feeding she'll be fine...or feed her smike...pump n dump n then ur good...im a drinker..not now of course...im still preggo...but i also plan to breastfeed n still enjoy a drink also...

There was a study done where women who went back to smoking cigarettes and were also breast feeding, the study showed that the babies were irritable and fussy a little after the feeding because they were going through nicotine withdrawal. I personally don't think 1 cigarette would hurt, but then again there's no such thing as 1 cigarette. It always leads to anther, and then another next thing you know you're a full fledged smoker again. Stay strong! Congrats on your baby!
