csection aftermath... whats realistic?

Hello, I'm almost 34 wks along and will be having a c section in 3 wks. I haven't gained alot of weight and I'm still in pretty good shape. 2 wks after I have my baby girl my best friend is getting married. Is it realistic to think that I will be feeling good enough to go? How much recovery time was needed for other moms that have had c sections to be feeling up for going out?

I say dont exert yourself, everyone is different. I had a vaginal birth the first time and my friend had a C-section. I felt completely fine and went out 2 days after birth and then needed a wheelchair in the store. Needless to say I stayed my happy behind in the house after that. My friend couldnt go out for weeks her situation was pretty bad. We both bleed for 6 weeks at least. I say 2 weeks is too early to go out.

I just had a c section a week ago, wasn't bad at all. A fast recovery. You will be sore for the first few days but the meds they give you work wonderfully. I started walking around in 3 days just fine. 2 weeks should be plenty of time to recover

I was in the hospital for 4 days and the wound was completely healed in 2 months.

You will still be able to go. I wouldn't recommend dancing though. Your stitches could tear open & that's no fun.
