Congratulations on baby. I'm currently 29.2 weeks with my second baby since 2013. In both pregnancies I've had hyperemesis so bad and still do...so bad that hubby and I agreed that I get wayyyyy too sick to attempt at having anymore children (83lb loss first pregmancy and 45lbs this pregnancy. ..can't eat but just vomit and no meds help) ...after all these two were natural miracle babies for us since I was told I would never have kids. So, naturally it saddens me to not have anymore kids since I now can after being told I'd never, but, on this past Monday my hubby got a vasectomy. Even though i can only deliver via c section and the process for tubal ligation would've been an additional five minutes according to my obgyn, my hubby took the snip hit instead because he was worried that I would be emotionally be traumatized if I actually went through with the tubal ligation process and I'm glad he did it instead because I really didn't feel right doing that to my body and dealing with the emotional, mental and physical backlash that can come from it.
Best wishes on your decision and congrats again on baby!!
Yes, DH is getting snipped this winter. Just make sure if he does have the operation, he go to the follow ups to make sure it actually worked. I think we have all heard those stories of "vasectomy babies" lol
Vasectomy would be my vote. A simpler operation than having your tubes tied, and guys are usually relieved to be sure they can't have any more kids. (And it is simpler to reverse, too, in the event of someone changing their mind. Reversing a tubal ligation is very complex.)
My husband is planning on a vasectomy next year since he will be 40. He doesn't want to be older than that and have kids. So if we want another we will do it fast or not at all. No reason for a woman to have the surgery when its so much easier for a man.
