I have a friend that is the same age as me 26 but she has 2 kids and is pushing the baby wearing on me. I have and horrible back and so I can't wear the baby. I am getting an awesome stroller and I will use it. Also her 2 year is still sitting rear facing. And my 2 year old won't be. So I'm sure I'll hear about that.

My friend just had her first child. Now she is judging me because i don't want to have an all natural, at home, water birth like she did, & I plan on getting vaccinations to protect my baby & she thinks that is wrong (told a friend she believed my choices were close to child abuse) made me so mad....

My friend had a home birth too. Yeah that is not for me! Plus they cost way more. She doesn't have a ton of money and had to pay $500 a month so she could have one. That's nuts!

Yes! She told me all the things that r "ok" bc she did them when she was pregnant and her daughter turned out fine.. she also said "dont b a hero.. get an epidural". i wish i could say i cant believe she would act this way but unfortunately its all about her. I try to keep the negative out if my life bc to me it is about my child and being stress free!

Drinking a glass or red wine a day.. smoking weed..eating sugar and candy constantly throughout the day. i dont do those things anyway pregnant or not.. just my opinion that its not necessary to do those things while pregnant and its selfish. N she told me to wait to tell ppl bc anything can happen. Just kinda rubbed me the wrong way and not to mention my mood swings r horrible so it made me even more mad:p

I'm a first time mom and my friends who have children are really good at not pushing their views on me but do give helpful advice. My problem are my friends who do the have kids and have never been pregnant. They keep trying to push how they would raise their children on me and keep trying to tell me what I can and can't do during pregnancy.

I'm pregnant with my second child so I'm lucky not to have to hear as much stuff like I did the first time but I'm still dealing with the huge deal about wanting me to breastfeed.. My first kid turned out fine and I wasn't breastfeed and it's just not for me... Even with everyone telling me a million things or reading so many things in books or online it may help a little but what it comes down to is experience and knowing your own child and what's best for you and your baby!  Good luck!

Ikaykirk the car seat thing isn't really an opinion though. Its actually a guideline now set by the american academy of pediatrics. They are actually redesigning carseats now to stay rear facing longer since its the safest way to be.... I personally don't like when people pusg their homeopathic and holistic views on me. I am an RN and have a lot of friends and family who like to give me their input (even people that my hubby works with like to tell me my choices are wrong) and then get mad when I disagree.

So its OK that a kid over 2 is sitting rear facing?

The american academy of pediatrics changed their recommendation a few years ago to state that children should be rear facing until at least 2. If they are over two and still fit in the car seats safe height and weight for rear facing it is safest to keep them that way until they max out and need to be turned forward facing. In the event of an accident the risk injury to the head neck and back of a front facing child is much greater than the risk of injury to a rear facing child.

BTW whether you do or don't is your choice. I don't try to push my views on people its just that this change was never really in the media and a lot of people are unaware of it.

The only reason it bothers me is the little girls car seat can't get tight enough when rear facing and it wiggles alot. But she refuses to turn her around.

Yeah if its not securely in place its not very safe. She should turn it around and properly anchor it.
