gluecose test

Today's the day I've been dreading. .
The gluecose test. .uhhhh ...i couldn't sleep last night thinking about doing this test and I have to get a shot because my blood work came back RH negative so I have to get a Rhogam shot

Thank u ladies I don't know y ppl made this glucose test sound so bad the drink was fine I actually liked it it was the Orange one and the nurse keep them cold so it was easy to drink...the only thing that ***** is I can't pee for an hour. .and I pee like every 5 min in the day time...thank u again ladies

Yeah the glucose test is nothing; if anything I'd be worried about the Rhogam shot. I'm A- and got the shot in my thigh (get it in your arm) and it hurt like a m-f to me. The other shots were painless, but if you get lucky, you won't need the Rhogam shot after you deliver if your baby is Rh negative as well.

The drink wasn't that bad at all. It's as sweet as Sprite. Idk why people over exaggerate telling other people it's sweet to the point where it's hard to handle. I drank it in less than 2 minutes and I was fine. My tests came back normal.

It's really not that bad. Especially if they have the Fruit punch kind. I had to get the rhogam shot as well along with the tdap shot. The worst part (and you may not experience this) is the nausea after the drink. Other than that the shots and blood work go by pretty quickly. Shots do suck, I'm a big baby when it comes to shots but think about it this way... After this appointment, you shouldn't have to get anymore until delivery, if you choose to get an epidural
