still havent pooed...

I gave birth a few days back and I still haven't pooed... The stool softeners aren't really doing anything. Does anyone have any advise? Also my feet and ankles are WAY swollen, like worse than when I was pregnant. Is that normal?

Thank you all! And I appreciate the advice. I thought after giving birth I would be done with all the constipation... Lol!

I would try drinking lots of water. It should help reduce swelling and get your digestive system back on track

After I had my c section with my first it took me over a week to go ! My ob said as long as there no pain it will happen when it happens but I would continue to take the stool softener till you do

I'd say continue with the stool softeners and maybe drink some Apple juice if nothing else. As for the swelling, I swelled up bad after my first baby and I was told to drink lots of water and keep my feet elevated above my heart. It took about a week but it did help

Swelling I dont think so. The poo part normal prune juice should help but for a better laxative ask ur doctor. U dont want ur baby exploding his/her diapers off lol not that it would happen but just to b on the safe side

Maybe try Miralax?
And get your B/P checked in case the swelling is a lingering blood pressure issue.
Congrats on your baby!

Grapes. lots of grapes or plums. Also you need to speak to your Dr about your ankles, that's not normal. Congratulations :)
