i am 38 weeks pregnant when i went to the dr.they did another hiv test on me because I'm in my third trimester i never heard f them doing two hiv test during pregnancy have anyone ever had two done before

Yes I just got my referral for blood work again and I'm 29 weeks. It's just to ensure you and your baby are healthy.

U have to ask whats being done..my doctor gives lab forms...i just read them before i get to the lab...but it is normal

This is pretty standard.  Many do drug tests also.

Most STDs aside from HIV will show up instantly. I.e. If you have chlamydia then when tests are taken it will come up on the results. Unfortunately for things like HIV it can take 6 months or more for you to show any symptoms if for blood tests to become positive. I'm sure everyone has it checked again further into their pregnancy. Most probably aren't aware as it will likely be negative.
Never be afraid to question why. I'm positive that it is very much a routine check seeing as they'll lat have checked during your 1st trimester

No I've never heard of that either. They did one hit test at very beginning that's it.

Yes i just got my results. .. any time they take blood they are checking for any type of stds and iron levels...things do change during pregnancy especially if ur still sexually active

No. I definitely would ask why they are doing an std test when you didn't ask for one. Did you happen to change doctors??
