Ex's are meant to stay in the past no matter what ended the relationship. Either she's still around because she still wants ur husband or I hate to say it but he might be having an affair. First ask your husband tlk to him about it good. And definitely confront her and ask her if she has feelings for him or is messing with him. If there's nothing going on between them then you need to tell her that its definitely not right for her to stick around. but if they are messing around they you need a divorce. Good luck and God bless

They don't have any kids together! This has been going on for 14 yrs! It's like she's doing these things purposely! It's like my hubby is scared to tell her stuff bout disrespecting me! I really can't accept thus but I love my husband! I'm very confessed! There should be a line drawn when it comes to ex's is my opinion!

How did you come to find out that your MIL would prefer the ex for a daughter in law?

Hm.  This is a tough one for me.  Because if they had a child together, then she, through the child, should still be involved, right?  And feelings don't just shut down when a relationship ends.  You form bonds and friendships and feel like family and it doesn't just SNAP end because the relationship ended.  It shouldn't feel like a threat  to you.  They very well may love her but that doesn't mean they aren't going to love you too or that it is a competition.  If your guy and his ex have a child together, you will need to get to know her too and it works so much better if everyone gets along.

If they don't have kids, the more you are n the picture, and the longer, the less she'll be around, I'm sure.  I had a boyfriend for a few years.  His mother always had this big picture front and center of her son (my boyfriend) and his old girlfriend hanging.  She left it there.  It was clear she really liked that girl.  After a couple of years, I was over there and we'd cleaned up the kitchen together after eating and she took me in the living room and said "ya know, I think it is about time I took this down."  and took that picture off the wall.  She then asked me if I had any really good pictures of her son and me that she could replace it with.

So, it just takes time hon.  good luck

I wouldn't like that at all either. If she said all that I wouldn't wanna be around.
