please help?!?

Hey ladies I hate to get on here & vent. So I'll keep it short & simple. I'm 7 weeks pregnant. & my child's father and I has always had an on & off relationship. During the breakups and makeups I believe he has lost a lot of respect for me. Or that doesn't appreciate me anymore. At this point I want to leave for good. But what should I do now that a child is involved? I'm so mad at myself for giving my child a father that's a complete jerk. :/Any advice will help, no matter how sweet or harsh.

Way easier said than done, but I know it must be done. It seems as if he won't realize what he's got until I'm gone..

Leave him alone because you're going to do the child more harm than good by staying if he does not respect you. Love yoursekf enought to walk away. I been there done that and I know its easier said than done but you can do it and it definitely takes time.

thanks Mreeah & Elena01. You ladies are both absolutely right. I'm definitely gonna give him his space because me pressuring him to act a certain way is hurting me as well. I just hope he shapes up. I understand his fear but his lack of sensitivity to the way I'm feeling really hurts & pisses me off! He wanted this baby, not saying I didn't but we could've wait in my opinion. I love him & I know he loves me but right now we are really at odds!

I would try talking to him and seeing if you guys could work out. I was with a guy like that, & i felt so unappreciated that i would question why i was even with him/ kept going back. Leaving him was the best thing ever.
I know its harder for you since youre pregnant but looking at things in the long term...will you guys be on and off still?
Sometimes its better to let things go...having a civil parenting relationship is better then you or him being unhappy in a relationship. Kids just want to see their family be happy. To be loved & supported.
They know when its a lie too.

Ive talked to him. I even told him it was over & he didn't seem to care too much. Do I cut him completely off until the baby gets here or do I still encourage him to attend Dr appts & etc..

I'm going through almost the same thing. The difference is I'm not putting pressure on my man. He's excited were having a child and is trying and I Noe if I nagg him or talk smack he's gunna lose that happiness so instead when we argue I stay quite and he calms down lol I tell him watt I need and tell him its for our family I tell him I love him and I'm thankful he's trying and he's really committed hell buy me thing out of no where goes to baby appointments he's stepping up remember don't pressure him or become clingy or hell run b sweet every thing changed now

Try and talk to him and see how he is feeling about u and tell him how u feel and go into the situation from there be honest don't beat around the bush cause it will either eat at u or make things better or not
