premature baby

My doctor told me today that I will have my baby before 35 weeks with how everything is going. I'm 29 weeks and he weighs 3.7 pounds and my doctor said he will be 6 pounds if I get to 34 weeks. Has anyone had a baby between 29 and 34 weeks? What can I expect?

Yeah that's what I'm on! I take it every 5 hours and I use progesterone suppositories

And I am on the progesterone injections since last week and  when I was pregnant with my daughter I was on medicine for the contractions it was called procardia

Don't worry , my daughter was born premature at 32 weeks she only weighed 3 pounds 2 oz . She is now
2 1/2 and healthy , I'm not going to say it wasn't rough because it was !!! But we both survived .
Now I'm 17 weeks pregnant with a baby boy and I hope this time I will reach full term . Good luck to you all

Thank you! I'm on bed rest and taking medicine for contractions and progesterone to stop my cervix from effacing/dilating. Thanks for yalls stories! It gives me hope!

My best friend had her son last Aug,  34 weeks 2 days. He was 6 pounds 4 ounces. They induced her becouse of severe preeclampsia and gestational diabetes. To every ones surprise they both got discharged n went home 2 days later. Stay positive and just pray, it'll all be fine :-)

I'm in the same position. I'm 29 weeks right now. She's already head down, in my pelvis and ready to go.
Take it easy as much as you can. Keep your activities to a minimum. The closer you cam get her to your due date, the better. However, babies born that early stand an excellent chance of growing to be healthy kiddos. Good luck.

If it helps I had my daughter at 29 weeks but she stopped growing at 24 weeks. She was one pound and spent 3 months in the nicu..today she's a perfect 4 year old..we are again pregnant and hoping things are smooth this time

My mom had my sister at 20something weeks she weighed 1pound.  She is now 10 &healthy active little bratt

My friend had her son at 24weeks and now he's a healthy lil 8 year old

And just expect that they may take the baby to the neonatal area where they have premeture babies.. but if ur baby is doin well then ur baby should get to go home withing 2 weeks

My mother had my sister at 34 weeks she only weighed 4 pounds and is now a healthy happy 12 month old .. its scary but im sure your baby will be just fine .. good luck
