Is there a certain point in your pregnancy that you can't sleep on your back?

Some nights I still find myself on my back. It hurts moving to my side. I have to move slowly however the pain does not last. 12 weeks to go and I am beyond ready to sleep however I want:)

I was advised by my midwife to try and avoid it after 12 weeks, but even more so after 16 weeks as the weight of the baby can press on arteries and veins.
