step fathers

Does anyone have a boyfriend or husband taking care of your baby that isn't his? Does he treat the baby like his own and is it working out between you two?

I  am a  daughter of a man who is not my biological father but to me he is. He has looked after me since I was in diapers and is one of the best men I know. I have such a good bond with him and he treats me like one of his own. My biological father was never in the picture so he is the only father I know and now that I have my own kids he is both a wonderful father and grandpa. Hope this helps oh and my parents are still together and I have a little brother who is is 11 and im 24 so we are very close.

My husband and I have been married three and a half years and together for five and a half years. When we met, my oldest son (8 years old now) was a couple months shy of 3 years old. His bio father has been mostly absent and neglectful and inconsistent throughout my son's lifetime.
My husband and son formed an inseparable bond within months of our relationship. My son has called him daddy/dad since before we got married. My husband would adopt him legally in a heartbeat if my ex would sign away his rights. He always calls my son his son, not his stepson, unless legalities require the distinction to be made on stuff like paperwork for school.
