warm tap water?

So I've read a lot about how you shouldn't use warm water from the tap for preparing baby formula bc of the possible lead in pipes. However, I did so with my first bc I didn't know that I shouldn't and she is just as healthy as can be, but now I'm thinking I shouldn't do the same with this baby as I now know the risks. Anybody have Any thoughts or opinions on this?

I've always used cooled boiled water. I prepare the bottles with boiling water and leave them to stand at room temperature, I only add the formula at the last minute and warm the bottle again.

I honestly feel it's being overly cautious too. A filter is always an option if it bothers you.
