Im 16 years old and a ftm im due in july if everything goes good i plan to have my babt vaginally no epidural nithing. Im hust so scared ive heaed atories of how its sooo bad and scary and painful and idk what to think can u ladies help me out!?

To me labor wasn't as bad as people make it out to be.
So many people told me I wouldn't be able handle having a normal natural birth because I was so skinny & cuz I'm 17 but I did it (;
I think what helped me out was telling myself that the contractions were going to pass. My boyfriend was there & I found talking to him was helpful also.
Just try to keep a positive vibe in the room when the time comes. I think if I would have been able to walk around in the room it would have helped me even more but in the hospital I gave birth in they wanted me to stay in the bed -.-
Just know that the contraction stage is the hardest to me pushing the baby out was super easy I had no pain at all just felt like a lot of pressure & I had a strong urge to push.
Ahh & breath through your contractions if you hold your breath it hurts even more!! (found that out the hard way Lol)

I agree with the previous commenter on keeping a positive vibe, having calm/positive support with you, remembering to breathe...
However, if you are afraid, please know that you have the right to discuss birthing and pain management options with your physician.  (More options than just an epidural).  Also, if you can, I would suggest learning about "focusing"/self-meditation" techniques that would help if the labor was long (prior to "active labor"). Luckily, youth is definitely on your side in this area! Believe in yourself, again bring a select few supportive/loving people, and speak up for yourself! Ask questions, ask about available options (even timing of the request for an epidural, if you were to change your mind, simply so you are informed if nothing else). Best of luck!  You are very young with an enormous responsibility on the horizon, but what a blessing!!!

Women have been giving birth naturally since the beginning of time so it can be done.
I completely agree with the other posters. Be informed and know your options. Have a plan in place but know if it gets too hard there are things that can help and that includes medications. You do not have to have an epidural if you don't want one. There are meds to help take the edge off of the pain.
