TTC need advice
we're TTC #1 on cycle #1 AF is 6 days late. I want to test but afraid of the BFN. I'm not sure when the perfect to test because I've been reading people test the first and second day AF is late and get the BFN and I don't want that. I'm thinking to take a HPT next week because it will be two weeks by then and I'm hoping the hcG level will be high enough to detect of I'm pregnant or not

Ugh levels double every 48 hrs. Most hpt will pick up hcg at the point of period and or anytime afterwards. There's no need to wait 2 wks for levels to build. If you've already missed your period, you should be able to get a concrete answer. If you're late and test is negative you should see your ob/gyn to ensure that there are no underlying issues.
