This will be my first child ... so it's my baby, husband and I who are living together and I currently do not have insurance ... just nervous because I want everything to go well and I'm scared I want to get a checkup asap ... :/ ...

Well i applied and WAS NOT ACCEPTED cause my income was higher then what they cover..mind u i dont make much BUT no worries the baby gets covered even if YOU dont, weird i know... So all the DOC VISITS AND DELIVERY is covered but i cant use it for myself..only if its for the baby... U will know the results about 3~4 weeks after applying.. Dont stress it...even if u been seen before accepted, once accepted the prior appointments will be covered as well.

Actually income is not too big of a factor unless you make a ridiculous amount. I found out I was pregnant at 2 months. I was denied from Medicaid but because the case worker was a pain in the ***. When I went to the hospital for some pains, they asked why I wasn't insured. I said I didn't qualify for Medicaid & they said all pregnant women do, it's reallllllly rare that anyone didn't. So they applied for me and literally like 3 days later I got my card in the mail and called to see if it was active and it was.

Income is a big factor as the rest of the ladies are saying but usually it takes 2-6 weeks to hear any feedback.

Depends on your income that's really the only thing that could stop you.

It depends on income but in my state the requirements are being lowered and more people will be eligible on jan 1 bc of obamacare so if they deny you try again after the first
