Peppermint water! My family has been using it for generations (made by themselves of course) and it works wonders! You use sugar free peppermints, boil one or two in a little bit of water, let it cool then let the baby drink a few sips. It'll soothe baby's tummy and have her going properly in no time!

well i know it isnt good to put things in there bum but you could take her to doctors as i did, but back in the day we all took temperatures in the bum. anyways thought it would help and it was a lactation consultant that did it to my daughter not a doctor but do as you need to i guess

I would also never put anything inside my baby's bum even slightly. You can however put vaseline on the anus to help.the baby pass the.bm

my mom used to give me and my sister water with a lil bit of sugar if we were constipated / had belly aches. It worked really well and were both fine :-)
she also gave that to us within a couple weeks of being born.

No! It is never a good idea to.insert anything in a baby's bottom! Let the Drs donut THEY are trained and.know.which direction to put it, you can hurt baby seriously if you don't.know what you're doing! I just had this argument with my husband the other night cause we got a thermometer for in a kit thing from our shower and he didn't know you could take.baby's temperature anywhere but the bottom even his mom was like "NO DONT DO THAT!" lol

I was told that you shouldn't gve water that young they have to be a little older. My boys always got constipated and they ended up on goats milk by Drs orders, that was after I stopped breastfeeding. They say Karo syrup helps put a tiny bit in their bottle or if you're breastfeeding put it on your finger and let them suck it off. It always worked for my kids BUT I'd say ask your Dr before doing anything only because it could be something with her tummy not her milk. I'd call today cause its bad for babies to get constipated, they get grumpy and can get hemrroihds and hernias.

Well with my youngest daughter when she was born she was the exact same and when i went to hospital to lactation consultant she just used thermomitor to put very gently barley in her bum and then within about 2 mins she pooped 2 diapers.  i dont know if you are comfortable but it doesnt take much to stimulate that muscle on a baby

You can give her half a teaspoon of light Karo syrup in her bottles 3 times a day. That's what our doctor said and I've done it with all five of mine at some point or another. Ask your babies doctor.

Take her diaper off and hold her between ur legs like she sitting on a toilet. it might take few mins but it'll relieve her...my mother used to this with my girl I thought she was nuts :-) but it worked every time...its the position.

As long as the water is boiled and cooled, like you use for formula, it is fine.

Try rubbing her belly lightly where it would give her tingles it might relax her enough to poo. Or just rubbing it. My little cousin was always constipated as a baby n my mom watched him and that's what she always done. Good luck and congrats on your little one!

Check with your babys doctor...i was told by my daughters dr not to give her water!!! It can be very harmful to a newborn. Are you nursing?? If your using formula...try switching

I'll possibly be slated for this comment but it worked for my kids...a tiny drop of fresh orange juice in cooled boiled water, I know the sugars arent good for them blah blah, but my kids wouldnt take plain water and were pooping rabbit droppings, it did the job.
