16 week gender ultrasound

Has anyone gotten their gender ultrasound done at 16 weeks? I am getting mine done on Friday 16 weeks 4 days and i,m nervous. I know that they usually do them around 18 or 19 weeks because it is easier to tell the sex.i know that with my cousin they told her it was a girl at 16 weeks then a boy at 18 and it ended up being a boy lol. I hope they will be able to tell and baby is in the right position.

I had a gender scan at 16 weeks and it said girl and so did every other scan after that! They are accurate if you can get the right shot. Good luck!

thanks :). yeah at 16 they have enough space to move around and its pretty certain at that stage so dont worry, i think you should be just fine :)

I had one done at 16 weeks and its correct I'm having a baby boy I also had one day at 20 weeks :) I wish u the best

yes i did with bot of my pregnancy and yes gender was very visible. :) good luck!!!

I already have 2 girls and a boy so it really doesn't matter to me. Just like you though my fiance wants to have a boy to carry on the family name. It would be better for us to have a boy though because i still have all my baby clothes from my son, plus my poor son would be out numbered lol.

i have a son and daughter already so it doesnt matter what the twins are

my hub really really wants a boy to carry on the family name but we have an almost 11 month old daughter so as of now it would be easier if they were girls....but then i think of 3 teenage girls at the same time and i cringe

it is possible to know already at 15 weeks....it honestly depends on the equipment used and tech's knowledge, plus a clear "toilet" shot helps

i am going at 15 weeks for an u/s and they told me they can start looking for the sexes (im having twins)

I know with my last baby it was done at 18 or 19 weeks. I got an approval from the insurance to get ultrasound done but it expires July 5th thats why i have to get it done now. If the baby is position right and they say that it is a boy it probably is. But if they say its a girl i wont be so sure to believe it because since it is so early there is still a chance they think its a girls but really a boy. If the doctor doesn't give me another ultrasound later on i will probably go get a 3d or 4d ultrasound done later just to make sure.

It is possible to tell at 16 weeks but not a guarantee, baby is still really small , that is why they usually wait till 19 weeks, easier to tell, but even then baby could be in a bad position that you cant tell! My friends had the 4D ultrasound at 6 weeks and were able to tell the gender right away!
