I agree that this is scary and not ideal for having a child. But it is life. I would look into temporary things to help get you by but you really need a long term plan so that you can be independent financially without welfare. That is meant to be temporary for able bodied adults to get back on their feet. So, start thinking about what you would like to do to earn an income. I am a huge fan of education to help you be successful. There are lots of programs that you can obtain in varying amounts of time. Colleges, community colleges and tech schools offer financial assistance complete with grants that can pay most of the costs of the program or payment plans so that you can be trained to do a job that then will pay you enough income to live on. It is so important to do this.
Welfare is a quick fix but I would only think of it that way and get yourself set up to be financially independent which is a much stronger position to be in in life. Good luck to you! YOU CAN DO IT!!
I would get in touch with ur local department of human services there is plenty of help out there but u have to apply for it food stamps medicare wic housing
Believe in yourself, you can do it :) I wish you and your little one all the best x
Medicaid, WIC and your local churches can help. I'm 18 with a 6 month old and now pregnant with twins, thanks to a crap mirena. We've made it. My husband has had to work a lot, but it's possible!
