1st ultrasound

I'm currently 16 weeks pregnant with my first baby. And I have not had my first ultrasound , i know people that have had their first ultrasound at 8 weeks, but not me. Do I need to ask for it or does every place work differently when it comes to that? I'm confused

It's different for every Dr and for insurance. Some insurances will only cover so many ultrasounds for certain things, and every Dr. has their own way of doing things. You can just ask your Drs office they should be able to tell you. They will also likely know what is covered by your insurance. It sounds to me like you will probably just have a 20 week anatomy scan.

EVERY OFFICE IS DIFFERENT EXPECIALLY THE DRS. I HAD AN ULTRASOUND AT LIKE 5 WEEKS. MY SISTER DIDNT HAVE ONE TILL ALMOST 20 WEEKS. BUT AGAIN WE HAD DOFFERENT DRS. JUST SAY YOU HAVE SOME CONCERNS ABOUT YOUR PREGNANCY AND YOU WANT A ULTRASOUND TO EASE YOUR MIND THAT YOUR EVERYTHINGS GOING FINE WITH YOUR CHILD. THEY'LL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO SAY YES.
