Dont stress yourself out over it, when my mom was pregnant with me they had to do an ultrasound to find out because the pregnancy test kept saying no it didnt actually say positve until she was 4 months along and even then it was faint. so just breath it out talk to your doctor and see if maybe they can do some blood work and an ultrasound and keep us posted :D
I am so sorry to hear about your BF's potential problem. I'm sure it's very nerve wracking waiting for the results - in both situations! My cousin didn't get a positive pregnancy test until 2 weeks after she missed her period. You should look for another doctor if yours won't do a blood test. I got a positive result 2 days before my missed period, and my OBGYN had me take a blood test the next day, 1 day before I was supposed to start my period.
I hope you get the results you're looking for in both situations!
For the most part my periods are normal, but I have many medical problems so when I get sick things get a little out of whack. I haven't been sick for the past month and a half though, so I was hoping I would either get a positive test or start. I will try again on sunday though and see if the results change. I'm scared to death to see the results. Plus with Mike getting his results Monday, I'm about to lose my mind. Thank you so much for you suggestions.
wow...i can't believe they won't do a quantitative Beta just to help with your cycles. What if you went in under the pretense of getting birth control and wanted to get a blood test to check before hand, just in case? would that work? I can't believe they'er allowed to not help a woman figure out pregnancy!
I am three weeks late today and the last time I did a pregnancy test was last week, I have given up thinking I am pregnant and just waiting for AF to come. Last week I did an OPK at CD46 and it was positive so I assumed I had missed a period and BD'd as usual. I am now on CD53 and still no sign of AF. I don't know what's going on because my Doc won't do a blood test. He is not refusing me, I had one yesterday to test for Hypothyroidism, they just don't do them for pregnancy. He said the urine tests are so sensitive they don't do blood anymore. I contacted the Department of Health and they said that it is not a national policy not the test blood and I should contact the manager and get a second opinion. That WAS the manager so a seocnd opinion won't matter cos its the surgery rules.
I guess what I'm saying is that I can relate and we just have to wait. But cos you are in the US you should be able to go get a blood test. Good luck xx
Are your periods usually regular? If still no period and negative pregnancy test after 2 weeks (assuming you are usually regular), I would contact your Dr. and make an appt. as this does sound normal...It may not be anything serious, but if it were me, I'd want to know.
Also, some women have slow rising Hcg levels in pregnancy and do not get a + result on a HPT until 6 weeks or so, so you may want to test again within the next couple of days.
I'm sorry to hear about your BF and wish him luck.
