22wks pregnant and bleeding

I woke up this morning, went to bathroom and I'm bleeding. I'm so scared! I called the dr on call (not my normal dr) to see what I should do or if this is normal. She tells me "there's nothing we can do. what will happen will happen. stay off your feet today and hopefully it goes away."...I'm not okay with that answer at all! I'm high risk, take 2 blood thinners daily and have never had any bleeding or spotting at all in this pregnancy so I'm freaking out! I don't know what to do, wait and take her advice or try to figure something else out. I'm feeling him move and I'm not having any pain at all. What do I do???

the bleeding (a little more than spotting) stopped on saturday night. took it easy the rest of the weekend, baby was still moving and didnt have any pain. called the doctors office on monday and they could get me in BUT it was with the doctor i spoke to on saturday. so i decided to wait until today to see someone i was comfortable with. the doctor today said that being on the blood thinner will make me bleed easier (duh!) and thats why they put all limitations on me (again, duh!) he figured that i broke a blood vessel the night before the excessive vomiting i had (thanks alisonj29!). so, everything was great today and now im not allowed to lift more than 10lbs, no pushing or pulling anything heavier than 10lbs, only allowed to go up & down our stairs 1 time a day and REST! thanks for everyone's concern! :)

You are on blood thinners, you need to be seen, I dont know why that dr told you otherwise.  Call your hospital L&D and let them know what is going on.  Good luck to you.

I had the same thing happen to me around the same time.  I kept my feet up and VERY well hydrated.  The next day I saw my doc and she couldn't find anything wrong.  Good luck and keep us posted.

I think what you're doctor meant was that they wont be able to stop you bleeding if you are and if you are going into labor or something is wrong the baby isn't viable so there really is almost nothing they can do. Do not go to the ER if you go to the hospital though since they aren't trained obgyns. Go to L&D.

I suggest u go to the hospital and have an U/S done. what she said is unacceptable! whats with the drs watching us suffer and say theres nothing they cud do!! u shud go to the hospital and hopefully its just a false alarm. good luck and keep us posted..

I had bleeding almost around the same time. I went to the hospital and they wouldnt check me at all. They told me to wait and see. It was red and continued for about a day. My son is almost 5 now. It actually turned out that I broke a blood vessel on my cervix from a very hard sneeze! Since your cervix is so sensitive and really "ripe" it doesnt take much to irritate it and cause bleeding. Put your feet up and relax, keep hydrated and the fact you are feeling movement is a very positive sign.

I would go to the er now!! As no that is not the right answer.

I am 24 weeks and i had a bleed last week, the baby was moving and all was fine, but they had to check me as it could mean all sorts.

Good luck Keep me posted!!! xxx
