2WW!!! Anyone else?

I'm pretty sure I'm cruising into the 2WW...we're not trying as obsessively we have in the past, more just having sex regularly and hoping to hit the target because we want to conceive SOON but we're not as adamant about the timing as we were the last 2 times. When we started TTC with Kahlan, we got pregnant right away...and the same with Grey. After Kahlan was born, I had so much scar tissue and trauma that they told me not to expect to conceive again, and if I did they said I would never carry. So when we started TTC for Grey we thought that it would take forever, if we ever did conceive. But no, we conceived the first month, and the first ultrasound showed NO scar tissue..go figure, lol.

So we started TTC this cycle and I think I just passed O...we'll try again for the next week just in case something happened and I O'd late, but I think we hit it....so...2WW! I can't believe I'm already here again, feels like I was just 2WW for Grey!!

Update, btw, Grey's first birthday is today...can you believe it?! Wouldn't it be ironic if we conceived ON Grey's birthday? lol...my birthday was on Tuesday, I'm 26, and having a bit of an early mid-life crisis...but, I'm doing ok. We're all settled into the new house and life is pretty darned good. Josh is having a little worry at work about keeping his job but we'll find out about that soon and hopefully it will be a non-issue.

How is everyone doing? Sorry I've been MIA, moving and getting ready for Grey's 1st birthday kept me super busy...but it's all over and I have some more time now.

I would love to answer homeschooling questions to anyone.  I actually started a homeschooling group on here, but don't know why because I don't know anyone on MH that does it.  LOL!

kid44 - That's good that you got some relief.  It won't be much longer now.  I am due 8-31.

My nurse said to take some tylenol for the pain. I woke up with it again today and took tylenol about 2 hours later. I could still feel Kolbie pushing down low, but the pinching feeling wasn't as bad :) I actually made it through work today, lol!

I might have to ask you a few questions myself about homeschooling Michele. I only have my one child, but I am not a fan of the school system around here. If you don't mind of course. :)

Anyways, I can't say I'm in the TWW either Ivy. Actually just got off my first cycle since 09 yesterday. Or maybe today, I forget. It's so exciting that you guys are trying again!! Are you hoping for anything in particular this time around? (sorry if someone else asked that, I didn't read all the comments)

Ivy - Wow, that's really cool and it sounds like you guys did a lot for 10K.  I am so happy for you.  I remember how excited you were about the house.  That's wonderful!!!!

I will have to take before and after pictures so you can see how ours turns out.  This house also needs a LOT of work, but since we are going through the investor, he is getting a special type of investor loan, where he actually gets the money to fix the house.  So that will roll over into what we end up buying the house for.  Technically, we will end up financing the repairs, but that's okay.  Might not be much less than where we are living now, but like you said, we don't have to come up w/ the money up front to fix the house and we can make it ours.  Plus, we have the land and that's what we really want.  Oh man, and I will be sooo glad to get out of our 2 story and into a 1 story.  I am tired of the stairs!!!  And it does sound like our situations are very similar.  LOL!

If I find out about this pain, I will def let you know.  It just hurts terribly.  I hate when I start feeling it in public!!!  Went to the grocery store today and I just couldn't get home fast enough.  I happened to get in a line where there was a price discrepency w/ the person in front of me. And I hate to break it to you but I don't really remember this pain w/ my first 2 but I have had it w/ every child since.  It started w/ #3.  So you will probably experience it w/ the next one :(

I love homeschooling.  This was just my first year but I did TONS of research and I can def point you in the right direction and give you some pointers.  Just let me know if I can help or even if you just have questions about it.  I will answer what I can.  And what I can't, well I belong to a HUGE homeschooling group in my area, and I can always ask someone else.  I think homeschooling is like anything else.  You never know everything and continue to learn as you go.  I am constantly learning new things.  That's part of what makes it so fun.  It truly is a journey and you get to take it w/ your kids.  Anyway, I love it so let me know if I can help you, if you decide to go that route.

kid44 - I am very happy for you.  Girls are awesome!  I have 1 boy and 5 princesses.  This one is actually a boy and we were shocked.  My boy is my first and from a previous marriage so my husband and I have 5 girls together.  We totally assumed this one would be a girl too, but nope...it's a boy!!!  It is very rare to have that many of the same sex and then for it to change.  It will be different.  My husband knows nothing about having baby boys so it will be fun to watch :)

Ivy,

I'm out, AF started today, but I expected that.  Not TTC and now probably isn't the best time for it to happen anyway.  I'm just glad I finally had a normal-ish cycle.  Now lets see if I can have ANOTHER one :)

Cassie I can't wait to hear what's up with you...but you think it's not likely this month??

Michele - That's EXACTLY how we got the house we're in...my husband's grandmother took out her investment income and paid for this house in cash (it's a foreclosure and we got an AMAZING deal) and we're "renting" from her for 2 years, then we'll be transferring the mortgage. THat way she can use more investment income to fix it up, and we'll roll it into the mortgage....The house was in shambles when we first bought it, but after about 10k put into it and several months of hard work, it not only looks amazing but it looks almost brand new in some ways...we replaced everything in the kitchen. cabinets, counters, appliances, sink, etc....the only thing we kept are the walls and floors, and the walls are being repainted lol. The rest of the house needed patching and fixing, and all the out-of-the-wall plumbing needed fixed, although the in-the-wall and foundation plumbing was solid..we had to fence it in, too. The guy that owned this house before us apparently went on a rampage when they foreclosed on him...he stabbed all the doors with knives, knocked holes in the walls, shot the walls with a BB gun, ripped out the healing element in the oven, ripped all the doors off the cabinets and trashed the bathroom vanities and lights.....so we had a LOT to replace, but we were able to make it OURS, and it looks amazing. we invited some of the neighbors for Grey's birthday party because we've become friends with them and they were all STUNNED and couldn't believe how different and amazing the house looked after what they did to it before...so that was a super good feeling.

Well if you do ask the doctor let me know what he says, because i had it with both of mine and wonder if I'll have it with another one..and I wonder what it is!

Homeschooling, huh? We're considering that too...I may have to talk with you about it to get your perspective and experiences with it.

I know I don't know any of you, but I have that same feeling "the burrowing head" thing. I'm 5 weeks away from having BABY No. 1!!! It pinches so bad sometimes! So I'm assuming this isn't something to worry about?? I have had a very smooth pregnancy. :o) I did call my docs office and she said it didn't sound alarming...so, onto delivery day!

We are actually getting this house through an investor.  It's a foreclosure and he is buying it and my husband is fixing it.  We will "rent" it from him for a year and then buy it from him.  It sits on 3 acres and we are totally excited to be getting out of a subdivision and getting a small piece of property.  The reason we are going this non traditional route is so that we have time to sell our house that we live in now.  We are owner financing our home to avoid realtor fees, closing costs, etc.  We have only lived in this house for 6 years so we don't really have any equity in it right now.  Once you take what we own, tack on the realtor fees and closing costs, we'd have to sell our house for too much and w/ all the foreclosures out there, there is just too much competition.  It is def a buyer's market right now.  Our house would end up just sitting so we are hoping by offering owner financing, it will help us and even someone else.

The moving thing does really stink when you are pregnant.  I mean, it stinks anyway right, but when you are at the end of a pregnancy and in the Texas heat...OMGosh!!!  This is my 3rd time to do it too!!!

The ripping placenta thing is exactly what this feels like.  I actually had an appt. yesterday but I didn't ask my doctor about it.  I knew he was running behind because he had a surgery that had some type of complications.  All he said was, "I'm sorry for being late.  It was a rough day."  I could tell and knew he had like 8 patients in waiting rooms after me.  So, I decided I had waited this long.  I can wait till my next appt.  I'll be having another u/s soon anyway to check the placenta.  It was a little low at my 20 week one.  My doc said that 90% of the time, it moves but we have to be sure.  I am not worried.  With 6 other babies, I have never had a problem, but at least they can check things out, check out any progress w/ my cervix and I get to see the lil guy again!  Oh man but I know what you mean about it hurting when they move.  I literally have to lay on my side sometimes when he starts burrowing his head.  It hurts soooooo bad.

As far as anything else.....that's really about it.  I homeschool, so I will be starting soon actually so I can take time off when Joseph is born.  We will actually start next week.  I know we will get interrupted w/ the move, but that's okay.  One of the many benefits of homeschooling is that it is on MY schedule and no one else's.  You can make it fit your lifestyle.  We can play catch up later :)

Now I have to go....Mary is over here trying really hard to type w/ me.  LOL!

Girl are you really that far along?! I can't believe time has gone so fast!!!! I've missed you too, and don't think for a minute that you're "taking over" my thread I am SO happy to hear from you and get an update!!

Did you guys buy a new house or are you renting? And I totally relate to the frustration moving while heavily pregnant, omg...I've done it twice...I refuse to move for another 10 years at least, LOL.

I totally get what you mean..I know that with Grey near the end, he was riding so low and sometimes he would move his head and it would feel like...idk, like the placenta was being ripped off, but I never bled or went into labor when it happened, it was just painful and ODD.

what else has been up with you? Sorry I would make this longer but big sissy is beating up on the Birthday Boy and daddy needs some help, lol...oh boy.

Have missed you Ivy, but that's cool you are in the 2WW.  I am in the 7 WW to have this baby.  LOL!  I am totally miserable with the HOT Texas summer and I get the Restless Leg Syndrome when I am pregnant.  It hits at night, which is totally normal for the condition.  You feel like running a marathon but not really :)  Plus the baby is really low and it is hurting me really bad.  It actually sometimes feels as though something is detaching, but I have felt this w/ my last 4 pregnancies.  I have just never said anything because everything has always been fine w/ the deliveries and all.  Maybe I should at least ask about it???  I use a support belt to help w/ that and it does help some but sometimes, I can't even stand up straight.

Okay...enough about me.  This is YOUR thread.  LOL!

I am so happy for you and so happy that life is going well for you.  You guys deserve it!  We are supposed to be moving in about a month ourselves.  Yikes!  Right before this little guy is due :)
