2nd pregnancy. 5 weeks 3 days showing only a gest sac.

Yesterday at 5 weeks and 2 days I went to get a ultrasound done at a place and the lady said I measured about 5 weeks and 2 days but there was no yolk sac.  Should I be seeing a yolk sac?  Little worried..  But I'm thinking I'm just too early and I know 1 day makes a difference so I'm gonna go back in a week to get another one.  Won't be seeing my ob for nearly another month so getting ultrasounds done is putting my mind at ease.  Anyone have this happened and later found a yolk sac,  baby and hb?

I HAD AN ULTRASOUND AROUND 5WEEKS WITH MY FIRST CHILD. THERE WAS THE SAC BUT I NEVER HEARD THE HEARTBEAT TILL ALMOST 10WEEKS CAUSE IT WAS HARD TO PICK UP.

I don't get why doctors insist on doing ultrasounds that early on in pregnancy. It's a waste of time. My doctor won't do one earlier than 7 weeks because 9/10 times there's nothing to see before that. It just causes unnecessary stress and worry.

To be honest it's very important to get them done to rule out ectopic pregnancys and old clots.  I actually had a major blood clot ready to burst at 6 weeks showing on my placenta with my first and they said if they didn't do the scan my life would have been at risk and I would have miscarried if I didn't get told to be put on bed rest mind you I was working and being on my feet 24-7
