30 weeks. and can go anytime. help

So I went to the doctors yesterday and I have been having complications with contractions the past 2 weeks which have caused me to thin.I am 30 weeks will be 31 tomorrow and doctor said baby is measuring 40 weeks and baby is dropped. she doesn't seem like she is worrying about me going into labor early also they won't stop labor because of her measurments when it does happen. She said I will have her anytime now. Has anyone had this before where they measure much further than there dates and actually went early. I have been having like a burning sensational cramping feeling low in my abdomin and period pains in my lower back.

My sister was born at full term and only weighed 4 lbs 14 oz. My neice was also 5 weeks early and only weighed 5 lbs. She is as healthy as can be. Every pregnancy is different. If her doctor and hospital are not worried then she shouldn't be either. If they thought it was too early they would stop the contractions and labor.

I went to the hospital for contractions last night and I'm 40 percent effaced and 1-2 cm dilated and sent me home after 4 hours of monitoring. She is about 4-4.5 lbs now.

The weight is actually probably okay for 30 weeks, but still she is way to small to be coming on her own soon. She'd most likely spend quite some time in the NICU. Did they check your fluid levels?

Yeah, she's way too small to be ready to come out. Your uterus may be measuring 40 weeks but if she's only like 3lbs, that's not alright. I actually believe that's underweight for 30 weeks, I'd talk to your doctor further to make sure there's not further problems...

However all her organs are matured to term from the reading of the ultrasound

They did an ultrasound and she was 2 pounds 2 ounces at 28 weeks. Yesterday they did the measuring of my uterus and she was measuring 40 weeks.

Did they do an ultrasound to see her weight or organs or anything? Or how do they know she's measuring 40 weeks?
