31 weeks and having pain and numbness below

I am 31 weeks pregnant and having pain and numbness.  It hurts to sit stand walk laydown and everything else for that matter. Called my doctor and she said just sit with my legs elevated. It feels like someone is stabbing me with a needle In my vagina every now and then. Should I just go to the ER?

this is also due to baby moving their head on your pelvic floor muscles, it can also feel like an electric shock down there as well and is normal, just means baby is getting into position, your ligiments will be softening and there is quite alot of strain on your hips, so when getting out of bed, rolling over in bed, getting out of the car etc make sure you try to keep your legs together and move your hips around before you stand, this will also help your pubis symphis as sometimes this can seperate during pregnancy and can cause the constant discomfort your talking about

I alos just thought about the numbness and baby could be sitting on a nerve which is causing that as well :)

It should like the position of your baby is making you uncomfortable. If you can do some prenatal yoga that may help, warm baths and relax
