Yes, if you can get help from someone, it's best to stay on bedrest! With my last pregnancy I started having regular contractions around 27 weeks. Somewhere around week 30-32 I went to the hospital and was 4cm dilated. I too had medication to stop labor. The contractions never went away, but spaced themselves out. I was on strict bedrest and made it to 36 weeks. I know it's hard! But everyday is crucial at this point!
thanks! that's what i figured. I really wnat her to stay in as long as possible! Now that I'm feelings the contractions again I'm worried :( they get stronger even if I just get up to go to the bathroom!
Activity does indeed push labour. That's why when women try to put themselves into labour they walk, clean, bounce on birthing balls, etc. If you've been ordered on bed rest you need to follow it and do exactly what they say. I know it's hard to stay put, but each day your baby stays inside the better it is for them.
