37 weeks/ Florida

So I live in central Florida and we're expecting a category 4 hurricane in the next couple days. I'm 37 weeks and getting nervous if I go into labor during the storm. I'm about 20 minutes from the hospital... anyone else in the path of the hurricane close to the due date??

If you go in tonight and your having false contractions,  they will just send you home. Perhaps it's the stress that is causing you to have BH.  Real contractions will not stop. Regardless of what you do. And you still have a few weeks left. Not to mention only 5% of babies are born on their due date. Just relax   get some rest.

Normally I don't mind the storms but considering the strength and my situation I'm getting nervous. I'm pretty sure I was just getting contractions but I took a shower they stopped but I'm gonna wait and see if they start up again. I'd rather go in tonight then in 2 days when it really hits..

I'm here in the path of the storm as well, but I'm only 23 weeks.

I'm praying I don't have to have a c section. Planning for a natural birth but nervous I could go anytime including in the middle of the storm. I'm not to sure I'm not have light contractions right now but it might just be my anxiety making me think that....

Do you have to have a c section? If not I'd call your Dr and see what all you need in case you can't get to a hospital on time.
