Negative hpt but still pregnant? Advice/experience needed!

Alright. Sooo here's the question. Has anyone ever had experience with false negative pregnancy tests?
My situation is I had sex pretty much on the day of my ovulation and I skipped a lot of my birth control pills and we didn't use a condom. It's now over 2 weeks later and I'm late for my period. I've been experiencing alot of sudden frequent urination, slight stomach cramping, headaches (only last about 10 min) white (no odor) discharge, and my areolas are brown I've also very suddently started gagging and getting nauseous but only when I'm in the shower so far.
Now, I tested this morning with an early response digital hpt and to my surprise it was negative.
Has anyone ever had any experience with a false negative? Or am I maybe pregnant? I keep wondering if maybe I didn't pee on it long enough..
Any advice or experience would be great and if anyone has any suggestions about when would be the best time to test again?

Just because you had sex day of ovulation,this will not garentee a pregnancy.ideally you should be having sex leading up to ovulatation as well.this will increase chances.there is only 25% chance each month of us concieveing.in truthfullness if your late,a test would have been accurate by now.the what your feeling could all be in your head.since your obviously trying.your delayed period is most likely to skipping pills.if your worried,ask for a blood test.

Tests say they should be 99% accurate but i know too well how off they are. this pregnancy iv had 9 HPTs and a blood test. My blood test was the only thing that came up positive although i had all the symptoms.

My last pregnancy a test done on the 1st day of my period was the only one that came up positve and i had countless tests and a blood test done for the next 4 weeks and all were negative. got my 2nd positive at 8 weeks and had an ultrasound to confirm.

The annoying thing is that it is all a waiting game. Take folic acid and wait it out, try not to get driven crazy and act as if you are pregnant and look after yourself. Good luck and let me know how it all goes xo

It should be 99% accurate the day of your missed period and for sure tell you if you are pregnant by one week after missed period. Best time to test is first thing in the morning with first morning urine. I also would suggest using a digital pregnancy test so you don't have to compare lines and stuff.

Stress and anxiety can also delay your period

you can always call your dr and get a blood test done
