6 or 3 weeks pregnant? Mixed results and worried.

I am a 25 years old and pregnant for the first time. Unfortunately I still do not have a due date because the doctors can not figure out how far along I am. According to my last period I should be 6 1/2 - 7 weeks. I have had two ultrasounds done and they put me 3 weeks behind that. The first was on 9/15, it showed a sac and I was told I was only two weeks along. I went again on 9/23 for my second ultrasound and saw the sac and yolk was told that I was now looking 3 1/2 weeks. On top of this my hcg levels are not doubling every 48 hours but weekly... yet my progestrone levels are normal/high. I have had no spotting and my breast are very tender and enlarge. I feel like I am getting all types of mixed messages. I am worried that things are not where they should be. Has anybody experienced something like this before? I would love to hear your story and advise.

Thank you all for your stories. As you can imagine my husband and I are worried about what is going on with the pregnancy. The ultrasound tech told me on Wednesday ,9/23, I was measuring 3 weeks going on 4. On that same day My hcg levels were at 1,460 and seven days before that they were at 880. That is the part that has us and the doctor concerned.=( The doctor is also worried because according to his chart I should be about 7 weeks along .... even though he did tell me there is a chance I could have ovulated late because I was having problems with my period from Dec 08 - April 09..... I had my period almost that entire time .... 3 weeks bleeding and then 1 week not bleeding.

I am hoping that what has happened is that I ovulated late and that things are not as bad as they seem ...... but at the same time, I do not want to give myself false hope. I go for another ultrasound on Friday. I guess I'll find out more then. Until then we're just praying and letting God take control. I wish everyone luck and if you have any more advice or stories I would love to hear it.

You can't be 2 weeks along. At 2 weeks pregnant you are just ovulating and conceiving. Unless they mean the baby is measuring at 2 weeks, which would put you at 4 weeks.

I have a similar issue.  This is my first pregnancy as well.  I am positive that I am 8w3d pregnant, but when I went to my first ultrasound today they told me that the baby was measuring in at 6w2d.  The heartbeat is strong and my progesterone and hcg levels are right where they should be.  I am really confused and worried.  I'm not sure if this is an early sign of miscarriage?

Omg This sounds like me in a way:( I know what ur going through..Im a 26yr old and just found out 9/10 I was pregnant..I was soo happy and the next day called the doct to confirm it.I had only been three days late then I took six pregnancy test to reassure it was a postive.I went in on 9/11 and they drew blood..The next day the nurse called me to tell me my hcg level was 39? she told me it should be higher and one or two things could be happening..either im soo early or i might miscarry? I was sooo crushed that I couldlnt even work? They wanted to do more blood..so I went back four times in agnony everyday just to see if they had doubled like they wanted them to? it went from 39 to 91 to 156 and the last one was only at 169?:( I did a vaginal ultra sound on 9/20 and they couldnt see anything?:( sad and confused on to whats going on? The nurse tells me oh ur levels arent doubling u could miscarry or u could have a tubal?? Im a perfect healthy 26 yr old. I know in my heart Im not having a tubal? Anyways now I have to find a better doctor bc They are very unprofessional. I know it might be too early to see anything but now Im worried about my levels? Confused on also how many weeks Iam?

I understand how it feels..Try not tot give up hope and DO NOT let them tell u they cant see anything and that they have to do a d&c because I have been doing research on things since this happend to me..and I found a website U really might want to look at

I have never been through this.. I had s miscarriage a week after I found out I was pregnant but I have a chart that says when you are supposed to see things and according to it you shouldn't see the yolk sac until 5 wks 3/7 days  and hcg should be 5,680-13,660 for that far along.  So according to it you would have to be at least 5wks!!   The charts are not exact but an estimate.  Hopefully this helps you some. Also I heard some people have slow rising hcg..but its good that your progesterone is normal!  Good luck to you!!
