I am terrible for drinking some days I go a day or two where I don't drink I never become dehydrated and tmi but my pee is always clear. I've spoken with my midwife and she said I'm not dehydrated but I should try and drink more. But some days I can drink 3-5pints so just drink when you feel like it obviously try to drink more than me tho :). Also lemonade is a good swap as you can get it sugar and caffeine free and it helps to settle your stomach some how.

The research says you should drink to thirst.  In short, drink when you are thirsty.  It is true that people can die from drinking too much water, but it of course helps to stay well hydrated when pregs.  My doctor said to keep hydrated enough so my urine was always clear.  (Given that the vitamin B in my prenatals made my urine yellow, that was something of a trick.)

Do you like iced tea or Arnold Palmers?  (Half iced tea, half lemonade?)  Because Sprite has a lot of sugar in it, 12 teaspoons worth, I have read.

Oh!! Tea is also a really good way of staying hydrated. Just plain tea and add natural sweeteners like honey etc.

Yes my doctor told me this. And I never said you were a 300 pound woman? It was an example. Plus there hasn't been any actual evidence showing that it's harmful if you don't drink a gallon of water a day while pregnant. Plus I've done this experiment myself where I ended up puking all the water because I ended up drinking too much. And people have died from drinking too much water. So I stand by my point that every persons intake of water a day is different. If you honestly believe every person is the same I recommend you do research.

And girl continue drinking Powerade. You're not a bad mom for choosing a drink with electrolytes over a baby. You can also buy powdered flavors to put in your water. I get excited about those!

No do not drink a gallon of water a day. That's ridiculous. Every person is different. To say a 300 pound women and a 120 pound woman need to drink the same amount of water is ridiculous.everyone has different needs.
Anyways to answer your question idk lol I still drink soda. And it's weird cause when I'm not prego I don't care for soda. But when I am prego I want soda. But usually I switch to Gatorade or I'll just drink milk. And I'll eat something really dry like a biscuit or pop tart and then It'll make the water taste a lot better since I'm basically making myself crave it. Hope that helps!!

Well I've doing sprite and Powerade lol cause I can only drink o much water before I get sick of it
Lol first off I'm not a 300 pound womaN. I'm 38 weeks pregnant and only weigh 150 Lol!! But yes our bodies are made of water, before pregnancy you should drink 8 , 8 0z glasses of water a day. During pregnancy you'll need more than that. I mean just ask your Dr: -)
