Abnormal period

I am 26 years old, have never experienced an abnormal pap, no stds or infection, have had pap/std tests for ongoing investigation regarding abnormally heavy and painful bleeding: August/October/Janurary and February pelvic ultrasound revealed cause to be cyst on my left ovary. Although popped cysts were painful and caused abnormal bleeding my menstrual cycle has been between 25-32 days consistently. I also had ovarian cysts in January 2006. My February period started on the 28th
I have had cramping, bloating, and back pain since March 16, I began to menstruate on the 26th. The bleeding was so minimal that there was nothing when I wiped but there was blood on my tampons (very little like a last day but more than what a pantyliner could handle), was normal bright red in color, and absolutely no clotting (this has never happened since I first started menstruating). I actually noticed on the 29th that while there seemed to be the blood on the tampon that I still had a thick white discharge on my fresh panties, it did not smell, there is no itching, no discomfort or burning while urinating and was the last day of menstrual bleeding (it only lasted a day and a half). I have not had a single blemish....(weird!) as my face is clearer than it has been in the last ten years (not normal for menstrual week). I started spotting again on the 29th (today) just a slight pink when I wipe but that is all and was gone by the evening. Still cramping  and no need for even a pantyliner and have had no need for medication for discomfort. I have always been bedridden from cramps for the first two days of menstrual bleeding.

My fiancé and I do not use protection and I have never been on birth control. My weight has not changed in three months, my eating habits have not changed (low-fat unprocessed foods, raw fruit and vegetables, water, and boneless skinless chicken) so I am just wondering what the possible causes of my sypmtoms could be. I took a digital hpt March 29th morning which was negative, however it is possible my first day expected to menstruate would be between March 30-April 1st. Test says earliest positive may not show until the day after expected missed period. I have been told by many women that they did not get a positive reading until a week or two after their expected period and one didn't get a positive until she was 8 weeks. Could pregnancy be cause? Or are there other possibilities?

I think that it could be several things....pregnancy being one one of them....Wait until after you miss your period and try another HPT.....If still negative, I would make an appt. with your OBGYN, as the events that have taken place over the past month are very strange and it may be something more serious...No point in taking a risk....I'd just have a checkup (like I said, if it's not a pregnancy)....Good luck

Sorry I meant:  I actually noticed on the 28th that while there seemed to be the blood on the tampon that I still had a thick white discharge on my fresh panties, it did not smell, there is no itching, no discomfort or burning while urinating and was the last day of menstrual bleeding (it only lasted a day and a half).
