All kinds of sickness going around!

I posted this question over in the Maternal and Child forum as well.

I just got over my second severe cold in a row, this past week.

My fiancee's 5 year old had a cold at the same time.

The 7 year old had strep-throat last week, and a cold a few weeks before that.  Now, she woke up with a 102 degree temp.  She has been on liquid antibiotics for over a week for her strep-throat.  Her little brother, step-sister, and her step-dad all caught strep-throat.

We did not have strep-throat in our household, but of course we are being blamed for exposing them.  We hardly EVER go anywhere with them.  The majority of the time we stay home. They take Dance, Ballett, they both go to different schools, they go to church every Sunday, and they often go out to visit their little friends over night.  So there are TONS of places they could "catch" things.

Anway, how is everyone doing?  Are there any other families with the sicknesses that are being passed back, and forth?

What is going on?

We have had a cold circulating around our house for at least the last month or more.  My DD just starts to recover and then it just starts all over again. DH is really sick again too.  Somehow I have managed to not pass much over the sore throat stage.  Mucus makes me throw up when I am pregnant.  Hope we all start to feel better soon as well!

Could it be the lack of rain?  I do not remember this last year at all.  Of course I spent a year in Daytona Beach, gosh I wish I were there right now!  =)

It is supposed to be 78 degrees here today!  Can you believe that?  It was nice a mild this morning, I just wanted to suck in the air for as long as I could... Lord knows I'll probably have another cold in the next week or two, so I'd better breathe through my nose for as long as I can.  lol  =)

I hope everyone starts to feel better soon!  I do not know how much more I can stand.

Both my 7 year old and my 9 year old came down with strep within 24 hours of eachother. Somehow....so far...knock on wood..I have not caught it. I am praying I dont. Strep puts me down in bed for 3 days minimum even once I have antibiotics. My girls are both doing better, but the crud of all sorts is definitely going around.

Yes-tis the season to be sick! My husband's entire hockey team got sick. One of them had walking pnemonia and another got Mono. Next thing we knew, every single player was getting sick. Mind you I had just gotten sick a week before Christmas...felt like I had Strep and it lasted an entire week. Couldn't breath out of my nose, lost my voice, sore throat etc. Than right after New Years all these guys started getting sick and what do ya know, BAMN I'm sick again! This time it was awful...I started loosing my appetite than I woke up with a 102 fever, the worst headache I have ever had! I was in bed for a day in a half...didn't move. My husband had to force me to drink water...after 2 days of not eating I would eat saltines and bread. It was the weirdest sickness...migraine for 2 days...than my stomach felt sick for a day than I couldn't breath out of my nose. This lasted another week. Than I got sick AGAIN about 2 weeks ago...runny nose, stuff nose at night, couldn't breath, always sneezing, sore body. It was CRAZY! So in a matter of 6 weeks I was sick THREE times!
I have a very week immune system, so now I'm obsessed with taking Vitamin C tablets everyday....I've been getting sick every 2 weeks so I'm dreading next week!
This has definitely been a bad winter for sickness...and there's only more winter to come!

My mom is getting over a cold and my dad now has a cold. My sister is sick she is vomiting. I hate to get sick so hopefully my husband keeps from getting sick because I usually get sick from him. There may be more people I know that are sick but just don't know about it. There is a lot of sickness going around. Be careful ladies!

I think there is something going around. I was sick all last week. I felt so miserable. Had a sore throat, post-nasal drip, coughing, runny nose, not fun!! My husband hasn't gotten it yet, but friends of mine are really sick right now. The whole family has it. I blame it on the weather here. lol. It doesn't know if it wants to stay cold or warm.
You shouldn't be blamed for exposing the kids since they go out and interact with other children, they are more likely to catch something around them. It seems like every year there is a period where everyone is sick! Crazy.
