I dont know the answer to your question, but my son was probaby average inside and was a calm baby.  The one thing that I read while pregnant and worked like a charm was to walk as much as possible in the last month or two because that is supposed to make it easier to calm a baby by movement when they come out.  (either walking, rocking, swinging, car rides...)  AJ calmed so easy the second he was moved, even the smallest rocking.  I will definately do it with my next!

My daughter seemed to move non-stop in utero...it never ended! Now she's 2.5 years old and we call her "turtle" because she takes her time to do everything. She's not hyper at all :-)

Yes, my little girl moved a lot during the pregnancy. I was very worried about that because she never stoped. I was wondering, does she sleeps at all.
Now she is 2 month old and she is very active. She move her legs and hands all the time like jogging. Also she is a bad sleeper. She need quietness and long wiggling to fall asleep.

I don't think it means a hyper child.  My lil guy is all over the place.  He feels like he's in training to be a kick boxer or could possibly be an octopuss...........lol.    This is my 5th, and I think all of my kiddos were pretty active in there.  The dr told me I feel more of the movement because of the placement of my placenta.  It's in the back, which is fine, but you tend to feel more movement than if it were in front.

Hope that makes ya feel better. I am sure it is pretty normal.
