Already mommies please help!

I had my baby girl may 24.they informed me at the hospital that they no longer suction babies when they are born..well every since she's been born she gets these bouts of choking on this thick mucusy spit..she's done it several times so bad to the point her lips turn blue..I've asked at the hospital and at her pediatricians office and everyone says its normal and they will clear it out on their own..but it comes out of her nose and mouth.when it happens I turn her over and pat her back and then suction her nose and mouth.it just scares me so bad..then she falls asleep right afterwards like it just wears her out.why would they say that choking to the point of not being able to breathe is normal?ugh!

If you blow into her mouth the mucus will come out her nose. Its more efficient that the bulb suction.

I would suction if it was me, I have 3 children and nothing has ever happened from using a nasal suction anytime I have done it.
