Anxiety, telling parents.

I'm 24 yrs. old, live with parents, and I'm 10 weeks pregnant (they don't know)

My dad is those old school, strict parents, so I'm scared to tell him even though I'm old enough and I work.
I plan to tell my mom first, even though probably she's going to be disappointed in me :/ .

I know that when I tell my dad he is going to insult me and say the worse words you can imagine! I know I'm going to have to move out. My bf and I are searching for a place already. My main concern is how to tell my dad....
He has seen me eat often he even told me i eat every 2 hours, but nothing much besides that. I'm just worried how he will react and  if once I leave he will take out anger, frustration  on my mom and start insulting her too.

I just want to tell them, because I feel that's the reason I don't eat as much as I have too, i get shortness of breath, and sometimes start to feel frustrated.

Any advice I would appreciate it. thank you.

I'm 25, and I was terrified to tell my Christian, traditional parents!

I've already graduated college & everything, but it wasn't about being established.. it was about disappointing them.

I had the preacher's wife talk to my daddy (I'm a 100% daddy's girl, and there's NO WAY I could have bared seeing the disappointment on his face), and as far as my mama goes.. she may be a Christian, but she doesn't bite her tongue & I did NOT want to have that argument, considering I was already under enough stress.. so I sent her an e-mail. yes, an e-mail. immature, crazy, etc.? nope. not to me.

I'm an only child since my brother passed away in 1996 from cancer.. I was 7, and he was 16 days away from being 4. I've been the center of attention for the majority of my life, my parents' pride & joy, and I've NEVER done anything to disappoint them, and let me be the first to tell you..

I STILL haven't disappointed them. if you're afraid to talk to them, it's understandable. that doesn't make you a coward, and you wouldn't be feeling anxious, scared, etc. if you didn't have a reason you know? have someone you trust talk to them maybe.. alone or together. I made the choice for it to happen separately just because. my daddy found out when I was 15 weeks, and my mama found out when I was 15w2d. I have no regrets. I'll be 26 weeks friday, and they are the most happy, proud, excited nana & papa ever. my mama's throwing the baby shower for me, along with the preacher's wife, and another family friend. you'll get through this, but if you are afraid of the insults, yelling, arguing, etc. it's best YOU not be the one to do it. the less stress, the better. message me if you need to talk, sorry so long!!!!!! We were pretty nervous to tell my fiances parents. I had to tell him it was like ripping off a bandaid. They'd be super mad at first but in time they'd cool off..

He told his mom and dad when they were drunk. His dad had suspected since he is a doctor and was OK but his mom was livid. We weren't engaged at the time weren't living together Ect.. she had raised him better but accidents happen. I was on birth control and not supposed to be able to get pregnant. It was just meant to be.

It took them a couple months but they noticed j wasn't going to give up in having my baby or having him in my life so they decided to help instead of be angry.

i know at first there's going to be insults and all that, but i know that once the baby comes he might want to get close to him/her specially being the first grandchild.

I try not to stress too much. I think my 22yr old sister is more afraid than me, because she's afraid of what he might do.

But I pray to God he does take it way different than I expect it

thanks

My cousin got pregnant at 16 and her dad said some pretty bad things to her but in the end once the baby got here he fell in love.... No matter what there still your parents and they may not be understanding about it now but they will eventually!

Im 19 and had to tell my conservative parents about my pregnancy. They were very understanding. I sat and gave them a run down of how I plan on caring for my child, how my life will plan out, what Im doing about custody, etc. Parents are more understanding than you would think. I also had a family member with me that i had already told, so that support helped.
