Anxiety

I suffer from severe anxiety, and have never taken anything for it. (Even before pregnancy). Recently my mother in law gave Me a couple xanax .25, and I've taken a couple every now and then if I really need to. They work, and make me able to live everyday life easier. But I've read some pretty harsh things online,  My Question is, has anyone taken xanax a couple times and everything turn out healthy? I'm not a daily user of it, just on occasion if needed... Just worried about my baby girl. Not hate comments please.

It really is very important you speak with your Dr. Before t akeing any medication. If you only took it a few times your baby is probably fine. Talk to your Dr.

I understand where you are coming from, anxiety is difficult to deal with and pregnancy can make it worse. First thing taking any medication that is not prescribed to you, pregnant or not, is not a smart idea. Second xanax is a narcotic so it's a risky medication for anybody to take. Also said talk to your doctor, there are medications considered safe for pregnant woman with anxiety. Please also let your doctor know that you have taken the xanax in case something happens do to it. I believe your baby will be ok but I would stop taking anything until you consult your doctor
