If your belly button is dipped in then that's a classic back to back sign. I delivered 3 of my 4 babies back to back. My dd was born with ventouse help, my 2 boys that were back to back I delivered unaided and using gas and air. They weren't small babies either 8lb 15 and 9lb 5. It does make labour more painful I'm afraid to say, just try and keep mobile and use a birthing ball if possible, my eldest son was back to back when I was induced but I got on a birthing ball and he turned himself, made his labour the nicest of the lot for me as I could control pushing him out, baby born back to back you really haven to go for it to get the head down and round. Good luck!
fingers crossed, they turned mine with forceps before i started pushing, before they realised i needed a section, so that's an option too. i couldn't get mine to turn during labour as was hooked up to machines, but i tried every trick in the book to turn him before labour started x
Thank you ladies, I will try to turn baby ! Baby might just be on my right side and kicking my belly button but I hope I can get it to turn !
my son turned back to back at 41 weeks, he did turn back round after all the exercises we did to turn him but he turned back round so became back to back again, which was discovered during an internal during labour. i had back labour with him - i didn't feel any tightening at all round my bump, just a gripping back pain that got really strong then eased off again. unfortunately i had complications in labour and ended up having to get an emergency c section after becoming fully dilated, so i didn't get to push him out, i was told it can make the labour longer and more painful - i was 3cm dilated when they broke my waters and it took me 9.5 hours to get to 10cm dilated x
My first & last babies were both face up. With both it makes labor a little slower but my last turned as contractions got stronger. My first wouldnt turn all the way so she was born face up & I had to be cut to make room for her to come out. However they can usually get them to turn. Lay on your left side as much as possible. They say that helps them turn.
