I'm glad you liked my poems. Thanks!
What a lovely poem still praying for your little boys each night, god bless xx
Beautiful Boy (dedicated to Tyler James)
Beautiful boy, born just a tiny bit too soon
We’ve watched as your personality blooms
A coo, a sigh, a smile….
Please stay with us for just a while
Longer so we may see your face, your beautiful blue eyes
Serene grace.. For one so small to have gone through so much
Yet come through it all a champion, A FIGHTER,
A Knight like your daddy, born to rescue to save, set free.
You are what I’ve waited for to make me ME…
Me a mommy, mother to you, to nurture you and watch you grow
In leaps and bounds new words and sounds
My beautiful boy forever…
Cynthia Hamilton 12/15/2008
Those were BEAUTIFUL! I'm so sorry for the one you lost. but what a beautiful poem... i've been thinking about writing one for TJ... I'll add it here in a bit.
I just wanted to add that i broke up with my boy friend when I was 17 with " The breakup".
I'm glad you like my poem. I wrote the one called " The crabby old lady" after working in a nursing home. I was a shampoo girl in a nursing home beauty shop when I was very young. I would visit them often. The others I wrote about things I was going through or my friends were going through. I write when I'm depressed, stressed, are just deep in thought. I love all the poems on here. We should do this more often. Anita
" The Breakup "
By: Anita Rachelle Frith
I see how you look at me,
failing to se the truth within my eyes.
Not knowing of a love lost,
broken from all ties.
Friends we shall be,
now and futher more.
Our relationship has died,
drained of all hope...
down to the last core.
So when you pass,
don't expect a kiss...
nor a touch of my skin.
Because in this union...
no one can win.
" Promising the Unborn "
By: Anita Rachelle Frith
Dear God,
Why did he gain love from me,
and then walk away?
He smiled so sweet,
and made me think it would all be ok.
I gave him my all,
now a child there shall be.
My heart is broaken,
as he fastly walked away from me.
Now my tears fall like rainm
as I bleed from within my soul.
Without him...
my heart no longer remains whole.
God,
I pray to you now,
all emotion has been taken.
Give me the strength,
so my child shall never be forsaken.
" Hope "
By: Anita Rachelle Frith
We walk unto a shallow grave,
of sweeted lies and bitter memories.
But still we gaze into the open medows,
with hope of finding a newfound peace of mind
We feel so lost,
Insanity,
harmony...
Justice we have yet to find.
So if you feel like no one can see,
if thats what ou think
open your heat and listen to me.
I'll tell you with tears,
none to few,
so please try to see.
We grew up together,
children of the heart...
listen to me,
I love you my dear.
You talk of taking you life,
this I fear.
The day may seem difficult,
full of confusion and dispair...
don't think your alone
because I do care.
Life can be hard,
easy its never.
So tell me now that you will be strong,
and stay with me forever.

"Judgment"
I hate the way you look at me,
the way you always make me smile.
I hate the way you kiss so sweet,
making life seem worth while.
I hate the way you hold me near,
when time slips away.
I hate the way I miss you,
whith every breath of the day.
I hate the way I love you,
to leave you I shall never
I hate the way I don't hate you,
so please stay with me forever.

"My Mistake"
By: Anita Rachelle Frith
Just when things seem to get better for the first time in a long await.
My heart grows closer,
and closer to you...
in some ways,
this I hate.
For now I feel such pain,
as my heart bleeds from within.
All because one I trusted,
looked out for...
she was suposed to be me friend.
I went on a trip,
without knowledge of what was yet to be.
Not knowing of a kiss...
that would do such damage to me.
Now your mad,
your words are at few.
But I just want you to know that sorry...
and I love you.
The five sense of love
I've seen glorious sunsets, gleaming rays of golden hue
Gazed up at twinkling stars in skies so dark and blue,
Looked upon mountain peaks and marvelled at the scene
Beheld fields and valleys amid changing shades of green,
Although these scenes of nature are so beautiful it is true
Yet none are so beautiful as the stunning looks of YOU.
I've heard the rippling waters of gentle flowing streams
Listened to enchanting melodies, so angelic, so serene,
Heard the tiny heart beats of pure babes so full of love
Hearkened to the cooing of tender, peaceful doves,
Although these sounds of life are so delightful it is true
Yet none are so delightful as the joyous sounds of YOU.
I've smelt the redolent perfume of a beautiful scented rose
And sniffed the rain soaked earth as life begins to grow,
Inhaled the scent of lovers, caressing, holding hands
Breathed the salty air whilst walking on golden sands,
Although these heady fragrances are exotic it is true
Yet none are so exotic as the natural fragrances of YOU.
I've touched the smooth, silk texture of very expensive lace
Felt the sun's warm morning rays beam down upon my face,
Caressed the glistening dew drops on early morning leaves
Felt cool summer's breezes gently blowing through the trees,
Although these sensuous feelings are soft and gentle it is true
Yet none are so soft and gentle as the tender touches of YOU.
I've tasted juicy strawberries, succulent and honey sweet
Savoured creamy chocolates, a very rare and special treat,
Sipped fresh spring water from clear, cool mountain streams
Dined on caviar and champagne, every gourmet's secret dream,
Although these tastes are delectable and delicious it is true
Yet none are so delectable as the delicious tastes of YOU.
AND:
BABY MINE, for such a short time
You were mine.
I grieve that things could have been different for us
It was not just the time there was no time.
How I still long to hold you in my arms
And explain all to you.
To tell you about the family you would have been born into
But there was just not the time.
Know that I carry you always in my heart,
I will not forget you though I have let you go.
I promise you – there will come a time
When we will spend an eternity with each other!
Until that golden time know that I do love you so.
Baby mine lost 22nd november2004
AND:
You came to us as such a surprise
My heart filled over with emotions inside
I loved you although you were only small
I wish somehow that I could have changed it all.
We said goodbye before you left,
Yet somehow I feel as though we never met.
Although I didn’t hold you although we never met
I feel you deep with in my heart and always carry you on my chest
I know someday we will meet at last, I know we will be able to forget all the past.
I long to hold you, to touch your skin to kiss your lips and breathe you in.
Until this time rest in peace,
Knowing of my love for you,
Love always Mummy.
Thank you Joy. I still write poetry, every so often. but not near as much as I did a few years ago. I used to have a collection literally of about 100 or more poems and i lost the whole stinkin folder!
I agree.. I love everyones poetry!
Cindie
P.S. Glad you spelled my name wrong.. most ppl still spell it with a Y even after I spell it myself in a message!
Oh. My. Goodness! I didn't realize what awesome poets we had here! Seriously, I'm blown away by each and every poem.
Malia- you are so descriptive, it's as if you are really there. You definitely have a gift of drawing a picture in your mind onto paper. And your title freaking rocks! I have a hard time with titles.
Anita- Can I just say wow? I love the message of this poem. I love "life cycle" poems. Reminds me of the movie, "The Notebook".
Cindie- great messages and I love how you portray each different scenario. You use a lot of really cool lines like, "...the flowers of your words..."
Wow, I can't wait to read more if anyone else out there is into poetry! I know most people don't understand poetry, but that's part of the beauty of it. I can write a metaphor and get my feelings out without spelling it out. I don't know but poetry is beautiful! MORE! I want to hear more!
Ok... here's some already published ones from me: (poetry.com) I wrote them several years ago (probably 3-4 while I was a senior in high school)
Love lives in all the people,
Love lives in all the people,
in every church and every steeple,
it is a wonderful beautiful thing,
that makes peoples hearts want to sing,
love is what makes the marines cry,
as they kiss their wives and say goodbye,
while people living in foriegn countries,
fight to save all of their families,
love makes young lovers get married,
so they will not fear when life grows wary,
love brings lost men back to their families,
as say young men to women will you marry me?
with love in our hearts,
god bring the young vetrans back safe,
and we will forever remember your grace,
from love in all our hearts of the nations,
as we wait for our enlisted loved ones,
please give us the love of the ancients,
this is love lives in all of the people.

AND:
My Knight
You, galantly on the steed called life,
awakened me, simple little kiss,
three whispered words,swept me off,
the ground, when I was falling,
down in the depths of this crazy world,
taken to me,like a duck to the water,
with the flowers of your words,
take me to your castle, make me yours,
show me my prince, how love turns, heads, makes hearts go soft, soft,
as a feather pillow,
your chest as i lay my head,
warmth seeping from you to me,
beautiful one,yourve given me life,
awakened me to love so sweet,
your armor shining and strong,
keeping you from harm, your mine,
rescue me,once more, please, my knight,
one more kiss, then to your castle,
where my love lies.
Cindie Marie Carey
srry they're not xmas or winter related.
I have one but its not a Christmas poem.
What are you thinking when your looking at me,
a crabby old woman
not very wise
uncertain of habit
with far away eyes.
who seems not to notice the things you do
an for ever is loosing a stocking or a shoe.
if thats what your thinking
if thats what you see
then open your eyes
your not looking at me.
I'll tell you who I am
as I sit here so still
as I do as you bid
an I eat at you will
i'm a small child of 10 with a father an mother
with bothers an sisters
whom love one another
a girl of 16
with wings on her feet
dreaming that soon now
a lover i shall meet
a bride now at 20
my heart gives a leap
remembering the vows that I promised to keep.
at 25 years i have young of my own
who need me to build a secure an happy home.
at 30 my young grow fast
bound by each other
with ties that should last.
at 40 my sons have grown an gone
but my mans right beside me
to see i don't moan
at 50 once more babies play around my knee
again we know children
my loved one an me
Dark days are upon me
my husband is dead
i look at the future
an i shutter with dread
I think of the years
an of the love that I've known
the ones i've lost
the memories are all but gone
Time goes fast
an nature is cruel
age has a way of making you look like a fool
so open your eyes
open an see
not a crabby old woman
look a bit closer...
see me?
Sounds fun! I love you Haiku! I've always really liked the style but was never really good at doing them. :( Anyways, I wrote this one some time ago but it brings to me the spirit of winter and a stag traveling alone in the snow.
Spirit of a Decaying Season
The ebony night gives him strength,
as he passes under the overwhelming trees,
never heard and seldom seen.
Blackened trees lean over the path,
engulfing him in shadows as dark as his coat.
The wind blows quietly around him,
like a soft breath on the back of his neck.
Softly his mane lifts in the breeze,
each strand bowing gracefully to one another,
like dancer in a performance.
The midnight drifter crosses a shaft of moonlight.
His shiny toes upon the cool snow,
create reflections up into the trees,
mingling in the rays of the slowly approaching morn.
He is a shadow, blind to the realm of light,
the spirit of a decaying season.
His hoofs gently touch with a powdery crunch,
creating prints upon the freshly fallen ground.
He approaches the end of his journey,
escaping from the thick fortress of blackened trees.
A lake stands before him,
magnificent in the glow from the disappearing moon.
A twin moon's reflection is upon the shimmering water,
gallantly copying its predecessor the sun.
The distant edge of another bank,
seen clearly by his opulent eyes.
He cautiously approaches the water,
Bowing his great horned head,
one sip of cool water,
one thousand ripples responding.
This drifter lays down,
resting for the moment,
just for the moment,
until he shall move on again.
