am I wrong?

Today was my nephews 4th birthday and for his party my sister set up slip n slides for everyone to play on. She insisted for over an hour that I should participate in his party and slide with everyone. She claims I'm using pregnancy as an excuse and that I'm being stuck up. I'm almost 8 weeks along and have had I miscarriage in the past. Is it just me or does running and jumping onto your stomach sound like a bad idea??

Your sister doesn't sound very supportive at all.  You were definitely right to not slide on your stomach.  Sounds like she needs a good talking to about how to treat family.

1 was like 18 weeks showing my kids how to slip n slide on my knees and I ended up hurting every time I took a step for 2 days. Lol slip n slides are deff not for the preggos.

I had no problem doing it with the kids before but it's just not worth the risks!! My sister has four kids I would think she would understand.

I'm with you.  I wouldn't do that.  Heck, I'm a grown woman.  I wouldn't want to do that NOT pregnant.  What 4 year olds think is a blast is often a lot different than adults, right?  Or is that just me?  Once in a while my husband will take a slide down the slip and slide but I've never done it with my kids.  I take pictures, cheer them on and laugh at them.  THAT is my job.  :>)

But ESPECIALLY if you are pregnant.

I would tell my sister to go kick rocks lol I'm not sliding down that thing! I'm doing one for my nieces and nephews for the holiday and as much fun as it is I won't be doing it.

Wow. Nope, you were definitely right to refuse that. The first trimester is most crucial, that's when miscarriages happen most of the time. You are not wrong for wanting to prevent that from happening. Totally unsafe.

Don't do it if you don't want to. You would hate yourself more if something bad happened.

She is on the wrong. You are right to protect your baby. You are rightfully scared
